कोल्हापूर हादरलं: किरकोळ वादातून मित्राचा खून, मद्यधुंद अवस्थेत आरोपी अटकेत

कोल्हापूर जिल्ह्यातील हातकणंगले तालुक्यातील टोप परिसरात सोमवारी रात्री एक भयावह घटना घडली आहे. कामगारांसाठी बांधलेल्या खोल्यांमध्ये किरकोळ कारणावरून दोन मित्रांमध्ये वाद झाला, आणि बघता बघता हा वाद जीवघेणा ठरला.

मंगल विभीषण मांझी (वय 35, मूळ ओडिसा) हा काही वर्षांपासून बिरदेव मंदिर परिसरात कामगार म्हणून राहत होता. सोमवारी दुपारी त्याच खोलीत देवश्री प्रफुल्ल चंदन (वय 25) हा कामगार राहण्यास आला. पूर्वी तो गंधर्व फाटा परिसरात राहत होता, पण सततच्या वादामुळे तिथून हटवण्यात आला होता.

रात्री जेवणाच्या तयारीदरम्यान भाजी चिरण्यावरून मंगल आणि देवश्रीमध्ये वाद झाला. वाद शाब्दिक असताना, अचानक देवश्रीने संतापातून हातातील चाकूने मंगलवर हल्ला चढवला. मंगलने घराबाहेर पळून जाण्याचा प्रयत्न केला, पण देवश्रीने पाठलाग करत त्याच्या पोटात खोलवार चाकूचे वार केले.

घटनेच्या गोंधळात संजय निहाल या कामगाराने मध्यमदार म्हणून हस्तक्षेप केला, त्यालाही हातावर वार बसला. दोन्ही जखमींना तातडीने सीपीआर रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आले, परंतु उपचार सुरू असताना मंगल मांझीचा मृत्यू झाला.

शिरोली एमआयडीसी पोलिसांनी घटनेनंतर काही तासांतच आरोपी देवश्रीला मद्यधुंद अवस्थेत अटक केली. या खटल्याचा तपास पोलीस निरीक्षकांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली सुरू आहे.

Kolhapur Shocked: Minor Argument Turns Deadly, Friend Murders Roommate in Drunken Rage

A shocking incident unfolded on Monday night in the Top area of Hatkanangle taluka, Kolhapur district, leaving the community stunned. A trivial dispute among laborers living together escalated into a fatal confrontation, resulting in the death of one worker.

Mangal Vibhishan Manjhi (age 35, native of Odisha) had lived for several years near Biradev Temple, working in the construction field. On Monday evening, Devshri Prafull Chandan (age 25), also a laborer, joined him in the same rented room. Previously, Devshri had resided in the Gandharva Phata area but was evicted due to frequent quarrels.

Late in the evening, while preparing dinner, a disagreement over chopping vegetables sparked an argument between Mangal and Devshri. The verbal dispute soon escalated, and in a drunken fit of anger, Devshri attacked Mangal with a knife. While attempting to escape, Mangal was chased outside and stabbed deeply in the abdomen.

Another worker, Sanjay Nihal, rushed to intervene and was also injured after Devshri attacked him on the hand. Both victims were quickly taken to CPR Hospital for treatment, but Mangal Manjhi sadly succumbed to his injuries during medical care.

Within hours, Shiroli MIDC Police arrived at the scene, detained the heavily intoxicated suspect, and began their investigation under the guidance of senior inspectors.
